Arboricultural Association (AA)

The largest professional and trade body for arboriculture in the UK, established in 1964 and now with about 2,000 members. The AA exists ‘to advance the science of arboriculture for the public benefit’. It is concerned with maintaining and promoting high standards in the profession through education and training, research, certification schemes, publication of the Arboricultural Journal, technical guidance and a quarterly magazine, the organization of an annual conference, consultation exercises and public relations.
