climate change adaptation

Adjustments to human activity or the natural environment to moderate the harm (or exploit any benefits) of climate change. The shade cast by trees moderates high ambient temperatures (which may be a health risk if very high) and reduces glare. Trees, with other elements of green space, also reduce the risk of flooding.
