dangerous climate change

A concept in scientific reporting and policy, often taken to be 2oC of global warming following the conference Avoiding climate change: A scientific symposium on stabilization of greenhouse gases held in 2005 at Exeter under the auspices of the Met Office. The parties to the UN conference in Cancún in 2010 committed themselves to this target.
