Edwardian gardens

An informal style with of garden design with colourful ornamental borders recalling the cottage garden. The style was advocated by a leading designer of time, Gertrude Jekyll, in reaction to earlier fashions for grandeur and formality, and was influenced by the Arts & Crafts Movement.
