Nagoya protocol

An agreement arising from the UN Convention on Biological Diversity and reached at Nagoya, Japan, in 2010, following the continued loss of biodiversity since 2002. The agreement gave rise to a strategic plan, extant from 2011 to 2020, whose mission is to: ‘take effective and urgent action to halt the loss of biodiversity...'.
