Phytophthora lateralis

A root pathogen of cypresses (Chamaecyparis spp.) and yews (Taxus spp.), thought to have originated in Asia and now the main cause of mortality of Lawson’s cypress (C. lawsoniana) in its native range in western north America. The pathogen was first found in Britain in 2010.
