quarantine pests and diseases
Alien pests and diseases listed in EC plant health legislation and against which action can be enforced in Britain by means of a Statutory Notice under the Plant Health (Forestry) Order (2005). The list of quarantine species is revised from time to time by the European Plant Protection Organization, and the listed species may or may not be already present in the EC. Many are actual or potential alien invasive species in Britain.
