tree motion sensor (TMS)
A sensor/data logger attached to a tree for measuring its dynamic behaviour, either in high winds or in a pluck test. TMSs may be fitted to the base of the tree to measure the tilt of the root plate, or to the main stem or branches to measure flexure.
